Messy Table Games is a game company that creates fun, engaging tabletop games for players of all ages. The company focuses on developing games that are perfect for game nights, road trips, and family gatherings.

Messy Table Games is all about bringing joy, friendly competition, and memorable moments through games. It was founded by Eric Olsen, the game designer behind the games Flip 7 and Glyphics, and his long time friend Jeff Argast. They, along with their colleagues and friends, are on a mission to bring fun, fast, and engaging games to everyone.

Booty Dice

A fast-paced pirate-themed dice game where players collect 25 gold doubloons or be the last pirate standing.

Game Mechanics:

• 6 dice with identical icons on each die
• Players roll up to 3 times per turn
• Goal: Collect 25 doubloons or eliminate other players

Dice Icons & Effects:

• Doubloon (gold coin): Gain 2 doubloons
• Red X marks the spot: Lose 2 doubloons
• Jolly Roger (skull flag): Steal 2 doubloons from another player (or 1 each from two players)
• Cutlass (sword): Attack another player
• Blue wave (walking the plank): Lose 1 life
• Shield: Gain a shield token to defend against cutlass attacks

Special Combo Effects:

• Three blue waves: Instead of losing a life yourself, all other players lose 1 life
• Three red X marks: Instead of losing 2 doubloons yourself, all other players lose 3 doubloons

Blackbeard's Curse:
Rolling one of each icon (doubloon, red X, Jolly Roger, cutlass, blue wave, shield) triggers Blackbeard's Curse - all other players lose 2 lives and 5 doubloons!

A Lotta Axolotls

A unique card game featuring adorable axolotls where players compete to collect the most axolotls by matching cards from their hand to collection cards on the table.

How to Play:
Players match axolotl cards in their hand with axolotls shown on collection cards in the middle of the table. When a player matches the last remaining axolotl on a collection card, they claim that collection card.

Game Mechanics:

• Collection cards are worth points equal to the number of axolotls in the collection
• On each turn, players can play anywhere from one to all cards in their hand
• Fast-paced gameplay with strategic depth
• Multiple tactical decisions: Which collection to complete? How many cards to play?

Strategy Elements:
Should you play all your cards for maximum effect, or hold some back? Can you complete a collection this turn? Which collection offers the best scoring opportunity? These decisions create engaging gameplay that's easy to learn but offers plenty of strategic depth.

French Goats in Trench Coats

A clever bidding game where players compete to win Le Food cards by outbidding their opponents, featuring French goats in trench coats and strategic Le Bonus cards that can change the game.

How to Play:
Each round, players simultaneously choose a bidding card to compete for a Le Food card. The highest bid wins the Le Food card and its points. However, if there's a tie for the highest bid, the next highest bid wins instead! Each bidding card can only be used once per round, so timing is crucial.

Le Bonus Cards:
Special cards that add tactical depth and can dramatically change the outcome:

• Tete Baa Tete: Wins any tie
• Baa Sez-Faire: Forces all players to bid before seeing the Le Food card
• Baa De Duex: Swap any two players' bidding cards (including your own)
• Sa Baa Teur: Randomly pick other players' bids from their hands
• Coup D'Baa: Reverses the game - lowest bid wins
• Baapolean: Adds 3 points to your bidding card
• De Baa Vu: All players return bids and rebid

Strategy Elements:
The key is reading your opponents and managing your bidding cards wisely. Should you bid high early to secure valuable Le Food cards, or save your high bids for later rounds? When should you play a Le Bonus card for maximum impact? The unique tie-breaking rule means even moderate bids can win if you predict ties correctly.
